Funeral services for Peter Pilson will be held Sunday at 1:30 at Myers Chaper. The Rev. Bayne D. Wilson will officiate and burial will be in Opdyke Cemetery,
The body willl remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Sunday.
Mr. Pilson, a former well known resident of Opdyke, died Thursday at his home in Sheffield, Ill.
He was 81 years, six months and six days of age.
Mr. Pilson was born July 8, 1872 near Macedonia, in Franklin county, the son of Samuel A. and Mary Jane (Hallowell) Pilson.
He was married July 17, 1893 to Minnie J. Snover.
Mr. Pilson is survived by seven sons, Walter, Roy and Ona of Mt. Vernon, Harry of Chicage, Delmar of Westmont, Ill., Alva of Xenia and Beecher of Clay City; two daughters, Mrs. Luta Richardson of Mt. Vernon and Mrs.Venita Kiepura of Riverside, Ill; two brothers, Samuel and Alfred of Benton; two sisters, Maude Whittington of St. Louis and Gertrude Averal of San Luis Obispo, Calif; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
