Everett Charles Snover Sr. passed away May 3, 2007.
#Chuck# was born May 30, 1922 in Willett, South
Dakota. He joined the Army Air Cops specializing in
Communications, and served overseas in New Guinea
during WWII. Upon return, he drove taxi-cabs and
ambulances before working for and retiring from US
Sheet Metal. He married Dorothy Meyers in 1933, had
five children. Chuck married Ella Mae Margeson in
1976. The two enjoyed traveling to their child homes
in South Dakota, fishing, and spending time with each
other until her passing in 2004. The loving father,
husband and grandfather is survived by his children,
Bonnie Duhr of Anchorage, Alaska, Chuck Snover Jr. of
Paradise Valley, Montana, Walt Snover of Mesquite,
Nevada, Gary Snover of Ft. Smith Arkansas; sister,
Alice Fisher of Puyallup, WA; and numerous grand and
great-grandchildren. Chuck#s step-daughters include
Sue Friend, Karen Shugars, Patty Graham, and Donna
Welbaum. Everett was preceded in death by Dorothy;
daughter, Connie Hites; Ella Mae; his brothers, Gerald
and Willy; sisters, Gladys Erickson and Hazel Cline,
and grandsons Doug Groves and Peter Graham. #Dad# will
always be remembered by his children as a man who
helped them grow through the years, face the
challenges of life and remind them of the importance
of family. Graveside Services will be held at Mount
View Cemetery, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, WA at
12:30 PM on Tuesday, May 8. Attendees should meet at
the Mount View Funeral Home Center by 12:20 PM. A
reception will follow for family and friends at the
Oakroom in the Celebration of Life Center.
