Mrs. Smith was born at Cedar, Kan., Sept. 28, 1886, the daughter of Stephen and Helen Abbott Nonamaker. She married Mr. Smith Feb. 12, 1915 at Dana, Kan. Following their marriage the couple lived at Iola and in Colorado before moving to Fort Scott in 1915. Mr. Smith preceded his wife in death March 15, 1962.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Fern) Graham, 716 S. Judson, and Mrs. Alvin (Lucy) Needham, Mapleton, and a son-in-law, Harry Nelson, 608 Osbun.
There are six brothers, George Nonamaker, Mansfield, Mo., Stephen Nonamaker, Mercer, Mo., Charles Nonamaker, Chester, W. Va., Richard Nonamaker, Phillipsburg, Kan., Raymond Nonamaker, Dodge City, Kan., and Wilson Nonamaker, Cedar, Kan. Two sisters are Ella Lewis, Houston, and Laura Dykens, Smith Center, Kan.
There are 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Konantz Chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March, 22, 2002, in Lincoln Memorial Park for H.M. "Ted" Nonamaker, who died March 17 of heart failure at age 84.
Mr. Nonamaker was born June 9, 1917, in Smith Center, Kan. He lived in the Portland area for 60 years and owned and trained race horses for 42 years. He married Donna Walker in 1961.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Carol Sue Shepperd; sons, Ronald Nonamaker, Terry Nonamaker, Dale Nonamaker and Jon Franks; brother, Wilber; sister, Hilda Mueller; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Interment is in Lincoln Memorial Park. Remembrances to Legacy Visiting Nurses Association hospice. Arrangements by Oregon.
