MILFORD services will be held today for Harry A. Wintermute, who died Thursday in St. Francis Hospital, Port Jervis. Husband of the former Gertrude Mott. Mr. Wintermute was a former resident of Plainfield, N. J. He graduated from Lehigh University and served in World War I. He was a member of the Kittatinny Masonic Lodge No. 164, Branchville, the VFW, the Asa Packer Society of Lehigh and several engineering organizations. He worked for Research Corp. in Round Brook, N. J. for 40 years and while there develoed 73 patents which are now on file in this country, Japan and Europe. Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Virginia Wintermute Nodine; two grandsons, Harry W. Nodine and John Moore Nodine of Far Hills, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Katherine W. Vander Meide of Adell, Iowa. Private services will be conducted at 2 p.m. at his Milford home by the Rev. Richard Aselford. Burial will be at Milford Cemetery.

4 Frances (Fanny) Aber was a School Teacher.
She was born November 1, 1862, and before marriage was a school teacher. They were the parents of two children, Harry Aber and Catharine Elizabeth. Peter, in partnership with his brother Edwin, bought the old homestead farm (as noted in Edwin's history). Before his marriage he was engaged with his brother-in-law, Allen Rosenkrans, at Scranton, Pennsylvania. Later he was a street car conductor in Philadelphia and afterwards in same employment at Newark, New Jersey. After Edwin's death he returned to the old farm at the Foundry. His mother and youngest sister, Ophelia, resided with him. In connection with his farming he still operated the foundry.
Peter was a temperance Republican and he and wife were members of the Presbyterian Church. In the spring of 1898 there was a new postoffice established at the Foundry, named Wintermute, of which he was commissioned as first Postmaster.
Fanny Aber was a great-great granddaughter of Elizabeth Wintermute, the Emigrator's daughter, and Peter, her husband, was a great grandson of George Wintermute, the eldest son of the Emigrator.
