Rhea Arvilla LaFrance Lee of Springville died Saturday. She was the widow of Ronald Snover Lee. Born Aug. 5, 1912, in Meshoppen Twp., she was the daughter of the late Levi R. and Grace Love LaFrance. Rhea graduated from Meshoppen High School in 1930 and Bloomsburg State Teachers College in 1932. She taught for six years in Susquehanna County, mostly in Auburn Twp. On April 28, 1938, she married Ronald Snover Lee and worked with him at Lee and Sons Store in Springville for more than 25 years. Since 1982, she lived most winter months in St. Cloud, Fla. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting and gardening. She was a member of Springville Methodist Church and was instrumental in starting the Snover family reunion and Springville Ladies Auxiliary Clothes Closet. Surviving are three sons, David and wife, Doreen, Las Vegas; Danny and wife, Carol, Hampstead, Md.; and Donald and wife, Rebekah, Springville; a daughter, Myrna and companion, Randon Baker, Hammondsport, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, David, Devin, Steven, Nathan and Justin Lee; Jennifer Barquin; Katherine Bell; Drew and Todd Corson; 15 great-grandchildren, Evan, Hannah, Sydney, Myles, Phoebe, Dylan, Keira and Brendan Lee; Caroline and Jillian Barquin; Madison, Diego and Riley Corson; Taylor and Sydnee Bell. She also was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Bartron-Myer Funeral Home Inc., Montrose. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to service time. The family will provide flowers, and those wishing to remember Rhea might consider making contributions to Springville United Methodist Church or Springville Ladies Auxiliary.

Dolores Elizabeth (Shearer) Snover, 82, formerly of Muhlenberg Township, died November 28, 2015 in Phoebe Berks Healthcare Center.

She was the wife of Howard Edwin Snover whom she married June 23, 1951.

Born August 19, 1933 in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Anna (Porkoski) Shearer.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her four children: Alan D., husband of Henrietta Snover of Reading; Richard L., husband of Dorret Snover of Chapel Hill, NC; Ted J., husband of Magda Snover of Sinking Spring and Kathy J., wife of Timothy Seidel of Laureldale.

There are also ten grandchildren surviving.

Burial will be in the Laureldale Cemetery

Belva M. Tewlsbury, 76, of Binghamton, went to be with her Lord unexpectedly Saturday morning, June 30, 1990 at her residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Bernie Hassett, Saratoga Springs; Joyce and Fred Henyan, Port Crane; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Julie Tewksbury, Woodstock, GA, Howard and Bonnie Tewksbury, Vestal; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother and housewife, with a servants heart, who gave so much and asked so little.

Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ralf H. Nies, of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Port Crane officiating. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery. The familly will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Ernest Ralph Clapper was born on 14 October 1905 in Tuscarora Township, Bradford, Pennsylvania.^2,3 He and Vera May LaFrance were married on 20 June 1928.⁴ He died on 11 November 1995, at age 90, in Laceyville, Wyoming, Pennsylvania.³ He was buried in Lacey Street Cemetery, Laceyville, Wyoming, Pennsylvania.⁴
