Charlene Moore was a Nurse. Charlene Bach, 81, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Lodge of the Wabash in Vincennes, Indiana.

She was born September 3, 1935 in Bridgeport, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Agnes (Leighty) Moore. She married Merle E. Bach on September 26, 1964 and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2015.

Charlene was a nurse at Richland Memorial Hospital, Deewood Nursing Home in Sumner, and then retired from Lawrence County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of and pianist at Pleasant Ridge Christian Church, and a former member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Her hobbies included sewing and crocheting.

Preceding her in death was her husband.

Survivors include her two sons, Michael Bach and wife, Ginny, of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Ronald ‘Jay’ Stevenson of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three daughters, Terri Carr of Macon, Illinois, Nicki Stevenson of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Janis ‘Jan’ Coffman of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother, Jerry Moore of California; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She finished her nightshift and went home to sleep.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Charlene’s memory may be made to Pleasant Ridge Christian Church.

Mr. Wallingford farmed in the Harrisburg and Hillsboro communities, moving to Hillsboro in 1959. He was a member of the Christian church at Mt. Pleasant.
Besides his wife, Mr. Wallingford is survived by three sons; Lenore Wallingford of Donnellson, Howard Wallingford of Duarte, Calif and George Wallingford of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother and a sister, John Wallingford of Farmington and Mrs. Perry Still of Farmington rural. A son died previously,as did his mother and father and fiive brothers and four sisters.
The Rev. W. David Diercks conducted services at the Hillsboro Baptist church Friday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. Burial was in the Vale cemetery. The body was taken from the Miller Home for Funerals in Donnellson, to the Wallingford residence Thursday afternoon.

He was born March 24, 1916, at Harrisburg Township, Van Buren County. He married Wannetta M. Wallingford. She preceded him in death.
He was a native of Harrisburg Township, Van Buren County, moving his family to California in 1960 and lived in Yucaipa for 22 years. While in Iowa, he worked in farming , truck driving and as foreman for Loudon's, Fairfield. After moving to California, he worked 23 years for Al's Welding in Pasadena. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeire 1927.
He is survived by three sons, Robert L., Omaha, Neb., Wendell H. and Roger D., both of Mount Pleasant; one daughter, Linda M. Hewer, Yucaipa, Calif.; and 18 grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one son and three grandsons.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Yucaipa, Calif. Burial was in Rose Hills Park, Whittier, Calif.
